New website welcomes internationals in the Euregion Meuse-Rhine
The Euregion Meuse-Rhine puts it “welcoming culture” into practice with the launch of a new website: www.youregion-emr.eu. This must-read helps all internationals (expats, future expats, future citizens of the EMR, Erasmus students…) with the multitude of challenges faced when moving to a new region.
The new youregion website provides essential information on community, travel, study, living and working. Do you have any question regarding the labour market, leisure time, language courses…? All can be found on the portal! The website is available in English and basic information can even be consulted in Polish, Arabic, Turkish and Chinese. The three Euregional languages will follow shortly.
The Youregion website is a nice addition to the current website of Expat Centre Limburg, as it also provides a glimpse on the offer across the borders. All the information on both the websites of Expat Centre Limburg and Youregion can be consulted for free and are in function of facilitating the stay of the knowledge worker and his or hers family.
The spouses and families of migrant professionals are also considered as newcomers. Partners in particular who have travelled with must be able to continue their careers in the Euregion Meuse-Rhine. The portal aims to help people navigate in cross-border life in general, administrative and work arrangements. Regulations within one country are already complex. If you work and live across the border, as more than 26,000 border commuters in our Euregion Meuse-Rhine do, it will be even more difficult to find your way.
The website is a result of an intensive collaboration between EGTS Euregion Meuse-Rhine, the Newcomers Service of the City of Aachen, Expat Center Limburg(POM Limburg), Expat Center Maastricht Region and the Dual-Career Service of the RWTH Aachen University.
